Ian Robert Anderson, 35, of Kildeer, formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016. Ian was born June 18, 1981, the son of Julie (nee Bennett) and the late Robert S. Anderson. He was a graduate of Prospect High School and Universal Technical Institute. Ian was a trained mechanic and worked in the IT industry.
Ian was a kind, thoughtful, generous man. He was very friendly and welcoming to everyone he met. He had a profound love of animals. Ian was an outdoor enthusiast who loved hiking, boating, fishing, target shooting and swimming.
He is survived by his mother, Julie, and his brother Bryan. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his loving dog Lena. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Visitation Sunday, 1:00 PM until Memorial services at 2:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect.
